Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Version Saver for Google Docs™ (“Version Saver”, “the add-on”, “service”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), a Google Workspace add-on provided by Cosmic Publications, LLC.

By installing or using Version Saver, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not install or use the add-on.

2. Description of the Service

Version Saver is a productivity add-on for Google Docs that allows users to:

• Save recoverable document versions
  
  

• Restore documents to earlier states
  
  

• Manage document version history
  
  

• Store version files within Google Drive
  
  

Version Saver operates entirely within Google Workspace and relies on Google Docs and Google Drive services.

We may improve, modify, or update the service at any time.

3. Google Account Requirement

To use Version Saver, you must have a valid Google account and access to Google Docs.

Your use of Version Saver is also subject to:

• Google Terms of Service
  
  

• Google Drive and Google Docs usage policies
  
  

We are not responsible for interruptions or limitations caused by Google services.

4. Ownership of Content

All documents, files, and versions created using Version Saver remain your property.

We:

• Do not claim ownership of your content
  
  

• Do not store your document content on external servers
  
  

• Do not access files you do not explicitly open in Google Docs
  
  

You are solely responsible for the documents you create, edit, share, or delete.

5. Version Files and Storage

Version Saver creates actual Google Docs files inside your Google Drive. These files:

• Are owned by the Google account that created them
  
  

• Remain in your Drive until deleted
  
  

• May be permanently lost if you delete them from Google Drive Trash
  
  

We are not responsible for data loss resulting from:

• User deletion
  
  

• Google account issues
  
  

• Google Drive failures
  
  

• Sharing permission changes
  
  

Users are responsible for maintaining their own backups when necessary.

6. Collaboration Features

If you share a document in Google Docs:

• Collaborators may view version entries if they also use Version Saver
  
  

• Version ownership remains with the creator
  
  

• Deletion permissions may be restricted by settings
  
  

We are not responsible for collaborator actions within shared documents.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Version Saver to:

• Violate laws or regulations
  
  

• Store or distribute illegal content
  
  

• Interfere with Google services
  
  

• Attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or abuse the add-on
  
  

We reserve the right to suspend access for abusive or malicious behavior.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of Version Saver may require a paid subscription.

By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the pricing displayed at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled.

9. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time.

When you cancel:

• Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
  
  

• You will not be charged for the next billing cycle
  
  

• No partial refunds are provided for unused time
  
  

After the billing period ends, premium features may be limited or disabled.

10. Refunds

Except where required by law, purchases are non-refundable once the billing period has begun.

If you experience a technical issue preventing normal use of the service, you may contact support for assistance.

11. Availability

We strive to keep Version Saver available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

The service may be unavailable due to:

• Google service outages
  
  

• Internet connectivity
  
  

• Maintenance or updates
  
  

We are not liable for downtime outside our control.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cosmic Publications, LLC is not liable for:

• Data loss
  
  

• Business interruption
  
  

• Loss of profits
  
  

• Indirect or consequential damages
  
  

Version Saver is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Version Saver if:

• These Terms are violated
  
  

• The service is abused
  
  

• Required by law
  
  

You may stop using the add-on at any time by uninstalling it from Google Workspace.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the add-on after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction in which Cosmic Publications, LLC operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
